If you're thinking of buying a Zune because you don't have an Apple computer and you keep your music organized in Windows Media Player, you probably think a Microsoft Zune is the way to go. After all, it's made by Microsoft, the Windows people.
Don't be fooled. Even though Media Player will recognize and sync your music to any number of other brands of MP3 players, if you have a Zune you have to use the extremely slow and feature-weak Zune software to interact with the device.
Of course there are hacks available online the will supposedly allow you to use Media Player, but do you want to spend $200 on a Zune and risk messing up the device with online hack software? The Zune plays music nicely, but so do hundreds of other MP3 players that will work with Media Player or itunes out of the box.
