
It is with some disappointment that I recommend that you not purchase this product. I was very happy with the device and the features, and I liked the interface of the desktop software. But I found that when I was inputting music and other album information the software crashed about every 10-20 minutes, often losing the data I had been inputting and frequently requiring me to reboot my computer. So what had taken me about 5 - 10 hours with iTunes took several times that with Zune. But then things got much worse. When it was about 7 weeks old, the device broke (the backward and forward and up and down buttons stopped working) and so after spending a great deal of time on the phone with Microsoft's technical help people they told me to send it back and they'd replace it. The nightmare began. They told me I'd have it back in 6 - 10 business days, and it took SEVEN WEEKS. The trouble doesn't stop there. The replacement one that arrived - which they told me was completely new - was broken right out of the box, and didn't work. After I spent a couple of hours on the phone with them and reinstalled both the device software and the desktop software, it still wouldn't work - so they told me to send it in again and they would send me another new one, again in 6-10 business days. When that time had elapsed (with no Zune in my mailbox) and I called them, they told me that it would be more like 15-20 business days and, by the way, they wouldn't send me a new one, they'd send me a refurbished one that was "comparable" to what I had originally purchased. So when I finally receive that one it will have been well over five months since I originally purchased it (of which I will only have been in possession of it for about 7 weeks), and I will have a refurbished one when I bought a new one. All of the ten or so different customer service people I have spoken to have told me they "understand my frustration" and offer "sincere apologies", but that there was nothing else they could do. The lesson is that if you decide to buy this product (and all the reviews of its features and functionality are glowing, and I can't disagree with them on that), you'd better pray that it doesn't break.Get more detail about Zune 120 GB Video MP3 Player (Black).
