I'm generally happy with the Zune, but a small quality problem led to a "cross your fingers and wish for the best" warranty experience. Customer service was impersonal and their warranty policy is weak.
Pros:
Easy to use.
Sound is excellent.
Cons:
My hold/lock switch broke after a few months. This was outside the return window through Amazon, so I had to service it through warranty. The warranty policy is that you return the unit to Microsoft and they send a refurbished unit as a replacement. They will not guarantee the same color and style, only the same model. I got the same color in return, but the policy made me think I should have bought the Apple ipod. I was nervous about what the refurbished replacement would be like. I told an ipod user friend about the experience and he said Apple service would have been much better.
The software to use the device seems a little quirky. Considering this is from the maker of Vista, I guess that was predictable.Get more detail about Zune 120 GB Video MP3 Player (Black).
