I've never owned an Ipod so I can't compare it to that. However I have owned 3 Creative MP3 players (Creative Xtra 40 and 60 gb and Zen Vision), and I have to say by far the Zune has got them beat. First I have to say I've had the 120gb Zune for 6 months now, and I haven't any problems. No software reloads like I constantly had with the Creative Vision M and easy smooth transition of CDs to the Zune. The plus is the Zune pass, for $14.99 a month and you get to download as many songs as you like and keep 10 songs permantently, even if you don't keep the Zune pass. The overall ease of the controls make it very simple and user friendly for anyone to use, so you don't have to been a rocket scientist to operate the Zune. Although a user manual is not included, going to the website gives you all the information that you will need to operate it. For me the Creative products that I have owned were very time consuming in trying to figure out how to operate them. And the constant loading and reformatting gave me a headache.
