I bought the Zune 120 in January of 2009 and it's worked great until now, October 2009.
I think the problem is with the software on the device. I won't go into specifics but basically the Zune jams at times and you must hard boot to get control back. This is annoying.
There are a few good forums out there for Zune users but most posts are just people having the same problems complaining about how Microsoft isn't fixing their problem.
The Zune software is easy to use but if I were going to do it again I would buy the IPOD instead just to make it easy. It is probably worth the extra money just for the support.
